Riding Lessons
At Hide-Away farm, we recognize horseback riding as a sport that requires dedication, practice, patience and strength like any other sport. Students are encouraged to take a minimum of one lesson a week. We recommend that those interested in showing and progressing to upper levels take two or more lessons a week.
Hours:
Monday– Friday 8:30am - 6:00 pm
Saturdays are by appointment only as we are most likely away at events.
Hours may be subject to change depending on availability
Students are required to arrive before their lesson to groom and tack their own horse. We recommend coming 15-30 minutes early to ensure enough time to get ready so you can be mounted and ready at the time your lesson begins. Please expect to be at the barn 1.5 Hours minimum.
Lesson Packages:
Package A ( The Hobbyist) $180
This package is geared towards beginner riders and the casual rider looking for saddle time.
This package includes (4) 30 minute private lesson per month.
Entry to our once a month Horse mastership class to participate in Horse care discussion and hands on learning on various topics of horse care and guest speakers.
This package does not include opportunity to Show, Lease, or Clinic if interested please see package B.
Package B (The Lesson Student) $200
This package is directed towards the traditional student.
(4) 1 Hour Group Lessons per month
Entry into Horsemastership class
Access to available lesson horse for Shows, Clinics and onsite activities. (There are additional day fees for shows and clinics)
Package C (Private Lesson) $220
This package is great for adults, Own Horse/Rider combinations, training clients.
(4) 1 Hour Private Lessons on Own horse or a Lesson horse per month
Entry in HorseMastership class
Access to Coaching, Showing, and Clinics and all onsite activities
Horse Lease (Lesson Horses) $550
Opportunities are available for students to lease Lesson horses as they are available. This is a great preparation to first time horse ownership or riding between horses.

Access to ride 3days per week in addition to lesson
First access to horse for Shows, clinics and onsite activities

United States Pony Club
HAF participates in the Chattanooga Pony Club chapter students are encouraged to be a part of the is wonderful organization that benefits all riders and future horse owners. Please find out more info at www.ponyclub.org
Lessons/Boarding
Showing
HAF travels to shows several times a year. Students may participate in shows if they wish but is not required. Show policies can be discussed with Shanna.
Clincs- We at HAF believe in a well rounded education, in doing so we invite professionals within our industry to come share their expertise with us in order a better understanding of various teaching philosophy
Boarding and Training
We are a small private facility nestled between Athens and Etowah, when you're here, you're family! Horse care is a top priority. We offer 10X12 and 12x12 matted stalls. Each stall comes equipped with fans for cooling in the summer. We have a large heated tack room for storage and warmth during winter months. Boarders can enjoy our 100x180ft arena, trails, and large Jump field for cross country schooling.
Stall BOARD $ 550 - We believe in an "all inclusive" system without adding "extras fees" to boarding rates monthly. Stall Board includes providing grain 2x daily and hay 2-4x daily. Daily turn out when weather permits on maintained pastures for both mares and geldings, blanketing, scheduling and holding for farrier and vet at no extra charge for routine visits. Daily stall cleaning and bedding, supplements given (when provided), and basic first aid.
Pasture Board- Is very limited and on a case by case basis. Please Call for availability
Miscellaneous Fees and Services
Horse Care: It is important to us that your athlete be maintained at the highest level for achieve optimum performance and health. We also understand that you cannot be here at all times so we will gladly see to those needs for you.
Miscellaneous Care ($25) This is a monthly fee added for owners who may be away due to vacations, or other situations who may not be able to care for their horses grooming and hoof care needs monthly.
Additional Feed $2.00 Per Full scoop
Additional Hay $ 6.00 per bale
Equipment and tack lease $15.00per mo
Medical supplies and equipment Minimum 15.00 charge depending on situation
